CMA-CGM Group, an international container shipping company run by its founder Jacques R. Saade, ranks first in France and from January 05, 2006 with the acquisition of Delmas a French Shipping Group has become the 3rd largest Container Shipping Group Worldwide.

In 2005 CMA-CGM accounted for 5% of total global container tonnage and supported with a fleet of 182 vessels, including 43 propietary units, has ordered an additional 64 owned or charted newbuilts with capacity ranging form 1,100 to 9,200 TEU.

With over 8,000 employees operating in 210 ports and an additional 417 agencies, CMA-CGM manages a global network and continues to expand, opening 14 new offices in China alone, bringing the total to 54 with operations in over 50 countries.

With two Caribbean hubs, Kingston Jamaica and Port of Spain Trinidad, CMA-CGM provides optimal coverage of regional markets within Caricom to connect with its Global network and is best positioned to expand as the worldwide demand for maritime shipping increases.

In March 2006, CMA-CMG is pleased to announce a joint operation with the Asian company CSCL (China Shipping) of a new dedicated service to the Atlantic Trade from Chinca reinforcing CMA-CGM as a major Global Carrier identity.
